Benissa: A Future Smart City

Benissa wants to become a smart city. A project that will begin to see the light of day at the end of this month of March, when the implementation of wireless broadband will be launched in the municipality. An initiative that has just been presented under the slogan “Beach or Mountain, you choose where you connect”, promoted by the Department of New Technologies, and which will be managed by the company Closeness, a company specialising in the development of new information technologies.

A project to provide Benissa with a high-quality, affordably priced Wi-Fi connection, so that all residents and visitors have internet access in public spaces, businesses, shops, and private homes. Furthermore, the infrastructure is prepared for the future provision of video surveillance services throughout the municipality, as well as telecare for those in need.
