Free WiFi access for citizens and visitors of Benissa

Citizens and visitors of Benissa can continue to enjoy free internet access via Wi-Fi thanks to an ambitious project driven by the Benissa Town Council through the Department of New Technologies.

The hotspots that allow network access in the busiest areas of the municipality are operational 24 hours a day, all year round, and users have free internet access for two hours each day.

Since April, internet access has been available in Benissa's urban centre and La Fustera beach, thanks to the hotspots installed by the company Closeness, making it one of the pioneering municipalities in the Valencian Community to offer this type of service to its citizens.

Now, in addition, and to meet the strong demand in the beach area during the holidays, with the arrival of thousands of tourists, the rest of the hotspots stipulated in the agreement signed between the Benissa Town Hall and the company Closeness are being installed, which will allow for WIFI coverage to access the internet free of charge with the highest quality, also from tourist areas.

Free Wi-Fi access is a great added value for both residents and visitors, allowing them to be connected to the internet at any time of the day in the busiest areas via their mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, and computers) in both the urban centre and the beach area.

With this new initiative from the Department of New Technologies, headed by councillor Jorge Ivars, Benissa will become one of the municipalities in the Valencian Community with the best connectivity offerings for its citizens.
